What was the highlight of Marian Pension

Simple stay with a friendly staff

The room no. 2 was much better than the room no.8 (top floor) during our previous stay. It was small but had everything. The AC was working perfectly, TV had nice selection of programs what was great when i layed sick whole day in the room. If you search something located at the bus terminal, especially when you arrive in the early morning or late evening, for the money you can;t find anything better around.

The room is located above some "kitchen" of neighboring property so all the smoke coming from the chimney goes directly in the room, barbecue feeling. Wifi signal was poor, only working at the door

What was the highlight of Marian Pension

The hotel is fine, only ask not to get the room on the top floor.

The location right on the bus terminal. Hotel is pretty nice, if you don't get the room on the top floor, it's really a good value. Despite the bad exprience we returned a day later and stayed one more night - lucky for us in the better room :-) There is a market outside the area and lot of food options, it's cca 10minutes walk to the central/proper El Nido. Despite the sidewalks are being built yet, we never had to use tricycle to get to the town, it was really fine to walk a bit

The room on the top floor is not a good option - it's located on the roof with chairs for the guests to enjoy view of the cliffs, where all the staff lives, serves breakfast food for the guests, do the washing and dries the clothes on the sun. As the room is just in the middle of these with a giant windows, everyone can see inside unless you cover it with curtains but that means there is dark inside. You can also here everything as guests sit right next to the window. The private bathroom is located outside the room and as you can not lock it, it's pretty weird, we felt not comfortable at all leaving anythin personal inside as anyone could enter it.

Very helpful staff. Taking care about their guests. They even organized meds for my sick partner. Breakfast was delicious and enough. Perfect location.

Very nice rooms. Clean. Aircon. Big space! And a hot shower

The first night there, the added another mattress inside because of overbooking which is very unfair to us..

Location was ok next to bus station.

Location was ok next to bus station. Quite clean.

Staff did their best but seemed a bit overwhelmed sometimes. Checked me in the wrong dorm first. Don't tell anyone that you can order breakfast Watch out for tap water in whole El Nido. Top expensive for what it is.

Difficult to sleep because you are on the bus station and you have many sound but it’s acceptable for 2-3 nights ! No WiFi, but it’s not a problem !

What was the highlight of Marian Pension

-> Choice of breakfasts is nice THOUGH there is no option for vegetarians that do not eat eggs -> It is the cheapest option close to corong corong beach; it is located next to bus stop (inter city bus terminal) -> the staff is fairly nice and helpful -> there is nice place to sit upstairs -> the bed is comfortable -> nice staff quite helpful

-> as mentioned there is no option for the vegetiarians that do not eat eggs for breakfasts -> I sent a question through booking (regarding breakfasts what is available and if vegetarians without eggs can eat anything) and I have received answer that managers are not currently available but once be back I will get my answer. I booked the accomodation 2 weeks in advance and sent question immediately and never receive proper answer until I got there -> water is the shower has very low pressure, the hot water almost does not go and even if a little of warm water comes it has so low pressure that it is impossible to take shower (It was hard to take shower with cold water) -> in the room there is no place to put the things out of the backpack - we kept them on the floor

What was the highlight of Marian Pension

Overall it was a pleasant stay and will recommend them.

I really enjoyed our stay here, staff was very friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions to the best of their knowledge. She explained all the Tour packages we paid for. The area was pretty safe and close to everything. 10 min tricyle ride from their downtown.

When it came to the prices of the transportation we clearly explained what we expected but somehow was miscommunicted to the 3rd party. The money wasn’t the issue but if you quoted a price and later change it, due to their mistake that shouldn’t be our issue. We clearly explained everything and at the end we ended up paying more than what we were quoted.

What was the highlight of Marian Pension

The room was nice although there was not much light since...

The room was nice although there was not much light since there was only a window at the ground floor and you had to keep the courtain on or people could easily look inside the room! Classic roosters in the morning (but those are everywhere in the Philippines). The food was nice and the breakfast is at the top floor with a decent view on the city. Location is not optimal if you don't know how to move around, but with a rented scooter or a tricycle you can go anywhere (be careful not to be scammed, should be a farily cheap ride to El Nido, around 40php, a bit more to the airport, we paid roughly 300). Staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to help and available at all times!

- Location: far from the noisy El Nido Town but at a stone’s throwaway from it; also convenient location as being next to the bus station - Comfortable beds and aircon

- Bathroom a little bit basic, with water going on and off frequently - but this is more of a general comment for El Nido - WiFi working on and off sometimes
